Janet Rico-Everett

Janet Rico-Everett is a transitioning college instructor who loves to write. She contracted immune thrombocytopenia in March 2018 and is now in remission, but she diligently visits her hematologist every three months to get her platelets checked. Rico-Everett also has systemic lupus erythematosus and two other autoimmune disorders, Sjögren’s syndrome and Hashimoto’s disease. She describes herself as a cockeyed optimist who believes that if she doesn’t have a tag on her toe, it’s going to be a good day. You can reach her at janetricoeverett.com
