My son is 19 and recently diagnosed with ITP. He had 4 infusions which did not help. The hematologist has recommended removing his spleen. He has also been on steroids for 4 months. His platelet count stays between 4,000-14,000.

When i had my spleen removed I stop breathing and it did not work . I started chemotherapy
